Where Kids Grow, Laugh, and Belong

Faith-filled summer days in West Milford, NJ, where every camper is family from day one.

About Us

Some camps hand kids a schedule. Solid Rock Day Camp hands them a summer they'll carry for the rest of their lives. Tucked along Stephens Road in West Milford, this isn't a drop-off-and-go operation. It's a community where counselors know camper names before the first morning bell, where older kids actively mentor the younger ones, and where a 4.9-star rating built on 82 real reviews tells you exactly what kind of place this is.

The camp runs on three pillars that its families come back for year after year: strong leadership, a genuine commitment to safety, and the kind of fun that leaves kids asking if they can go back tomorrow. Faith in the Lord is woven naturally into the culture, not as a lecture but as a lived example. Staff model the values they teach, and campers absorb them through every game, every challenge, and every new friendship formed on the field.

Parents in the West Milford area describe it as finding a second family. That's not an accident. Every detail, from how counselors are selected to how each day is structured, is designed to make every child feel seen, safe, and genuinely excited to show up.

What We Offer

Each day at Solid Rock Day Camp is engineered to be full. Campers move through a rotating mix of outdoor adventure, creative activities, team sports, and faith-based programming that keeps energy high from the morning welcome to the afternoon send-off. No two days feel identical, and that's entirely by design.

The counselor program is one of the camp's most praised features. Older youth step into leadership roles alongside adult staff, creating a mentorship chain that benefits everyone on the grounds. Younger campers get role models they can actually relate to. Older campers develop real responsibility and confidence. It's a cycle that the camp has refined over many seasons.

Beyond the daily schedule, the camp maintains high standards for camper safety that returning families cite as a top reason they re-enroll every summer. Parents can drop their kids off knowing the protocols are serious, the staff are attentive, and the environment is one where kids can take healthy risks and grow without unnecessary ones.

"My son absolutely loves going to Solid Rock. He looks forward to the summertime and camp time. He has a few friends that attend as well, and it is a true testament to how much they love it because they get so excited to go back. They can't wait to see their favorite counselors and they have their favorite themed weeks of course! Also, they have a wonderful day called Family Day where they invite the parents and children to spend a few hours at the camp and you get to see how your child spends their time at camp. I would highly recommend Solid Rock!!"
